Apple Announces The New Replacement Program For USB-C Charge Cable

Apple has officially announced their new replacement program for USB-C cable that came out with MacBook 12-inch retina display. This USB-C is used as a charge cable together with its native adaptor. The issue that may appear is, it cannot work properly to charge the MacBook or sometimes discharging. Apple gives a statement that this issue is found in a small number of USB-C because of its design. Apple will replace it with new redesign USB-C for free.

If you have a valid mailing address that you filled when you bought the MacBook at Apple Online Store or on the product registration, Apple will send a new redesigned USB-C until the end of February directly to your address. Alternatively, you can bring the unit and the USB-C cable to Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for a replacement.

Apple has described the old design USB-C cable, in which there is a ‘Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China’ words written on the cable without certain serial number. The new, redesigned cable has a serial number.
