How To Be An Ecologist At Home

Protecting the nature requires a contribution smaller than you might have thought. You don’t have to donate large sums of money and you don’t have to participate in revolt movements or a public outcry in order to reduce the level pollution in the city where you live.

  1. Use fluorescent bulb tubes.
  2. Turn off your computer every night, or at least, put it in sleep mode.
  3. When you brush your teeth, don’t let the water run for nothing. This way you can “save” up to 20 liters of water per day.
  4. When you print something, do it on both sides of the sheet.
  5. Don’t dry your clothes in a special machine designed for this. The best way of drying is outside.
  6. Eat, at least once a week, vegetarian food.
  7. Recycle bottles! Thus, you reduce air pollutions by 20% and the water pollutions by 50%.
  8. Recycle newspapers and magazines that you no longer read! Don’t throw them in the trash, but go to a processing center. This way you save more than a half a million trees a week.
  9. Purchase a water filter at home so you don’t need to buy bottled water because these are decomposing very slowly.
  10. Take showers or bath with your partner to reduce the water consumption.
  11. Plant a tree!
  12. Don’t be reticent to second-hand objects or things. They can be much better than new ones.
  13. Turn off the light when you leave a room more than 10 minutes.
  14. Recycle old cell phones!
  15. Put all the clothes and items that you no longer use in a bag and donate them to charity.
  16. Get rid of plastic bags and don’t use them anymore!
  17. Use rechargeable batteries!
  18. Share your knowledge with others, and this will be appreciated in no time!
