What does canceling/ pausing my subscription mean?
Canceling your Sling TV subscription can also apply to those who have signed up for a free trial and don’t choose to continue. In this case, once you cancel your subscription, you won’t be asked to pay after your free trial period. If you’re someone who has a paid subscription, you can enjoy all the content of Sling TV until your renewal date (found under My Account). After this date, you will not be charged and you’ll be completely withdrawn from Sling TV. You can always confirm your subscription cancellation in your inbox once you have completed the process.
When you pause your subscription, you can do it for a selected amount of time, for which you won’t be billed. After that period ends, you will be charged by Sling TV as usual.
How to cancel it
To cancel your Sling TV subscription, follow these steps:
- First things first, sign in to your Sling TV account through this link. Click the “Sign In” button at the top right to do this. In the appropriate text fields, enter the email address associated with your account as well as your password. Forgot your password? Don’t worry; just click the blue link for “Forgot your password” below the “Sign In” button. Once you’ve entered all the information, go ahead and click “Sign In”.
- To access your profile/My Account, click on the person icon at the top right of your screen. You will now be able to see the My Account section. You’ll notice that there are a lot of options since this is where you can manage pretty much everything on your account. Under the “Your Subscription” section, go to the list of blue links at the right and click of “Cancel Subscription”.
- A little window will pop up, asking you to confirm your subscription. Click “Cancel Subscription”. You’ll also probably be offered something from Sling TV for you to say. Oh, he that doesn’t know the throes of love.
That’s about it. Once your cancellation is received by the company, you will be emailed with confirmation. Make sure to check your inbox (or spam folder) if you can’t find it.
How to pause it
To pause your Sling TV subscription, follow these steps:
