How to disable and/or delete Match account

If you no longer want to use your Match account, you can disable it, but you can delete it as well. It is up to you. Here, we are going to show you both processes. If you go for the first one, you will deactivate your account, and you will be able to come back and use it again. If you want to get rid of the profile for good, then deletion is the answer. How to disable your Match account

Deactivating your Match account is very simple. But before doing that, make sure you cancel all subscriptions if you have any. Now, here is how to disable your account:

  • Open your favorite browser, go to the Match website and log in
  • Click on the Profile tab
  • Click on the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the Settings
  • Now find Change/Cancel Membership and click on it
  • Enter your password
  • Click Continue Cancellation
  • Click on Cancel Membership and Remove profile

You will receive a confirmation email. After disabling your account, you won’t be displayed to other Match users. But, if you ever change your mind and what to use the account again, all you have to do is log back in. Keep in mind that if you don’t come back within two years, the account will be deleted.

How to delete Match account

Perhaps you want to delete your Match account permanently, and if that’s the case, follow the steps below:

  • Open your favorite browser, go to the Match website and log in
  • Click on your profile photo in the top-right
  • Now click on Manage my subscriptions
  • Click on  Suspend your account
  • Click on “To cancel your account, click here” to confirm your action

When you do this, your account will be deleted in the next 24 hours, but do not log in during that time.
