Why is this problem happening to me?

  • Maybe your phone is overheated.
  • There is a chance that the app that you are trying to use is crashing, try to determine if the keyboard won’t show up to only that one specific app. But, if it does not show up on the rest of the apps on your phone, the problem is not in the app itself.
  • Maybe your cache memory is full.
  • Also, there is a chance that your RAM is full.
  • You are maybe connected to some other wireless keyboard but you forgot about it.
  • Maybe you do not have the latest version of the iPadOS.

What are the ways you can fix this problem?

The steps to fixing this problem are very easy. We will try to break them down for you and write them in a way that is easy and understandable to everyone.

  • To check and see if you have the latest iPadOS version you will have to go to the Settings of your iPad. Look for the General settings and click on them. Then go to the Software Update. If there is a newer version of the iPadOs available you will be able to download and install it right there by clicking on the Download and Install button. If there isn’t any update available, proceed to the next step.
  • There is a chance that your iPad is overheated and that is why it is not working or opening your keyboard properly. In order to fix this problem, you will have to restart your iPad, or better yet turn it off for a certain amount of time and then turn it on again and check to see if the problem is solved.
  • If these previous steps did not help you, you should consider deleting your device’s whole cache memory. To do that go to your iPad’s Settings. Find the Memory section and click on it. Under that section, you will be able to see many options. Find the cache memory one and click on it. The new tab is going to open, look for the Delete device’s cache memory button and click on it. Your cache memory should now be completely deleted.
  • You maybe forgot that there is some other wireless keyboard connected to your device. If that is the case, turn of your Bluetooth or just disconnect that other wireless keyboard from your iPad.
  • If your RAM is full, your device is going to keep lagging and it will keep crashing, and therefore you will not be able to type anything with your keyboard. The keyboard may be simply won’t show up, or you cannot press any of its keys because it won’t type them. You might need to delete some of the apps of your phone in order to solve this. Delete some applications that you do not use and that might run in the background of your iPad. This should solve your issue.
